I love that warm, golden lighting, especially up against that blue-black sky! Looks like quite an impressive building...what college is it?

This shot works so well because of the strong difference between the yellow-lighted building and the deep blue sky. I like to take shots like this about one every five minutes while the sky is rapidly moving from day to night. The shots are amazingly different just based on the different hue of the sky in each shot.

thanks everyone!

Lara, it's a small liberal arts college in northern NJ. Founded in the late 1800s, it was the all-girls Centenary College for Women until the 1970s, when it was changed back to co-ed. It's now simply Centenary College. I was visiting the campus yesterday; it's beautiful.

Nice shot ! A bit spooky and creepy.
Strange colors coming out of some of the windows (green, blue...)
Harry Potter's college?

Is this the clock tower from back to the future? Very nice night shot. The shadows give it a sharp feel. I also like how the light differs from the top and bottom of the building. Well done.

There's nothing more grand looking than a shot of a great building, lit-up at night. Nicely done!

nick: no, i didn't use a tripod so i think that's why it's not completely sharp.
